Kid Pex is a Croatian- born Austrian hip-hop musician from Vienna . In 2009 he released his first album Gastarbeiterlife , which met with a great response in the underground scene. In summer 2010 he was able to reach the charts for the first time with Bečko čudo / Wiener Wunder , his second album.

Live and act

In public he often appears as the “ Tschuschenrapper Austria ”, although he is also known in the hip-hop scene under the pseudonym “Tschuschenspitter vom Dienst”. At the beginning of 2010 he was signed as an artist with the hip-hop label Deine Mutter Records and released the album “Bečko čudo / Wiener Wunder” in June of the same year. The album made in advance of conversation, as the advance single "Kako ever u Becu" (As in Vienna), on the Serbian rap superstar Juice as a feature guest appearances, hundreds of thousands within a short time views on YouTube could reach. Many international rap greats were featured on the album with guest contributions, both from Austria (for example StvdB ), the USA ( Rasco , Cali Agents ), Serbia (Juice) and Croatia ( Target , Tram 11 ).

He made his acting debut in the Austrian film " Echte Wiener 2 - Die Deppat'n und die Gspritzt'n ", where he played a friend of Mundl's rapping great-grandson . In the film itself he can be heard with the title “Plati mi piće (feat. Bloody MC)” (Pay me a drink), which also appeared on the official soundtrack CD for the film.

Due to his constant presence in the hip-hop scene and the great media response that he triggered with his last album at the latest, he is now one of the better-known names in the Austrian hip-hop scene . His bilingual Vienna anthem “Dođi u Beč / Come to Vienna” with the Austrian rapper StvdB was one of the winning numbers in the Austrian project Pop . Kid Pex was also nominated for the Austrian Newcomer Award 2011.

After the closure of the Deine Mutter Records label, in April 2012 he released his third and most socially critical long player, "Perestroika".

In February 2013 he showed solidarity with the well-known dialect rapper A.geh Really? with the protesting refugees who held the Votive Church in Vienna for a few weeks . With the song "Right to Life", which became the hymn of the protesting refugees and also got airplay on some radio stations, he performed with A.geh Really? together several times at demonstrations and solidarity rallies. In mid-March 2013 he also organized a hip-hop concert, with the entire proceeds donated directly to the refugees.
