Kim Possible is an American television film based on the animated series of the same name , which aired on Disney Channel from 2002 to 2007 . The title-giving main role is played by Sadie Stanley . The Disney Channel Original Movie was broadcast in the United States on February 15, 2019. The German broadcast took place on September 20, 2019 on Disney Cinemagic . Cheerleader Kim Possible, along with her friends Ron Stoppable and Wade, just started the plot of Professor Dementor, who led Dr. Glopman had captured, foiled. On her first day in high school, Kim meets new student Athena and befriends her. Kim and Ron take Athena on a mission and must fight the villain Dr. Drakken and his assistant Shego fight. Athena defeats Shego and becomes a media star. When Middleton High School wishes to honor Athena in this regard, Drakken and Shego appear at the ceremony. Kim tries to defeat Shego and her army of followers, but she succumbs to them. Drakken and Shego capture Athena and disappear with her, while Kim is laughed at and a mockery of the school. After talking to her family and Ron, they decide to free Athena from Drakken and Shego's hiding place.

In the hiding place of the antagonists, Kim realizes that Athena is one of Drakken's followers. Drakken reveals to her that he is after Kim's motivating nature and wants to transfer it to himself. Kim also learns that Athena is an android. When Kim destroys the transfer machine, Dr. Drakken turned into a teenage version of himself as a side effect. Since the machine is unstable, Athena stays behind to turn it off. Kim finds it difficult to leave Athena alone, but she saves herself and Ron from the explosion. The cave explodes, and Kim believes that Athena was killed in the process. However, it later turns out that Athena survived dismantled into its individual robot parts. Kim and her team take her to Middleton, reassemble Athena, and program her into a good heroine.

In the end, the teenager Dr. Drakken as a classmate at Kim's High School to defeat her once and for all.

On February 7, 2018, it was announced that the Disney Channel was planning a real-life film based on Kim Possible . Mark McCorkle, Robert Schooley, who produced the original, and Josh Cagan wrote the script, while Adam B. Stein and Zach Lipovsky directed.

On April 25, 2018, it was confirmed that the roles of Kim Possible and Ron Stoppable will be played by newcomers Sadie Stanley and Sean Giambrone . On May 25, it was announced that the main antagonists were Dr. Drakken and his assistant Shego are played by Todd Stashwick and Taylor Ortega . Ciara Wilson plays the new character Athena , while Erika Tham plays Kim's adversary Bonnie Rockwaller . Alyson Hannigan was hired by Kim's mother, Dr. Ann Possible and Connie Ray cast as their grandmother Nana Possible . The actor Issac Ryan Brown , known from home with Raven , slips into the role of Wade Load .

The shooting took place under the working title Possibility from June 4 to July 24, 2018 in Vancouver , Canada .

The first teaser trailer was released on August 10, 2018, while a first picture of Stanley as Kim was shown at San Diego Comic-Con International in late July 2018 . At the same time, it became known that Christy Carlson Romano , who dubbed Kim Possible in the television series, was hired for a cameo . Patton Oswalt , who dubbed Professor Dementor in the television series , also embodies this role in the real-life version.
