Horst Church
The Horst Church is a parish church in the Horst district of Sundhagen in Western Pomerania . It comes from the 13th / 14th centuries. Century.

The single-nave , two-bay brick building from the 14th / 15th centuries Century has a higher, rectangular choir , a southern sacristy and a front, square church tower in the west.
Late Gothic wall paintings have been preserved inside the church ; they were exposed from 1992 to 1996. A larger than life apostle frieze can be seen in the choir area.
Furnishing
The late Gothic, two-winged carved altar dates from around 1510. It shows scenes from the life of the Virgin Mary. On the north wall of the choir hangs a neo-Gothic crucifix above a baptismal font made of limestone from the first half of the 14th century .
The renaissance-style pulpit on the south side of the triumphal arch was made in 1602 by Johannes Buggenhof. Also from the beginning of the 17th century are the cheeks and frames and the “woman pastor's chair” in the nave.

The organ was made in 1850 by Johann Friedrich Nerlich. It has a neo-Gothic prospectus .

The evangelical parish office of Horst has been part of the Stralsund Propstei in the Pomeranian Evangelical Church District of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Northern Germany since 2012 . Before that she belonged to the Demmin parish of the Pomeranian Evangelical Church . The church chapels in Jager and Willerswalde belong to the parish.
