description
The church in Waltersdorf, which was subordinate to the Cronschwitz monastery, was built in the 13th century and burned down in 1750. 1751–1756 it was rebuilt in a modified form. The nave of the hall church was raised considerably and covered with a hipped gable roof . The retracted, almost square choir tower received two additional octagonal storeys on which a curved, slate-covered dome sits, which is continued in a lantern that is crowned with a tower ball .
In the masonry on the west corners of the nave, stairs were added to the three-sided, two-storey galleries on the long sides . The pulpit altar is in the choir . The balustrades of the galleries and the pulpit altar were vacuumed in the late 19th century and stained dark . The organ with 9 registers , on a manual and pedal , was built in 1767 by Johann Christian Poppe .
