Church building

The church is made of plastered limestone and consists of a large, straight final choir with a three-window group in the east and a lower but wider nave and a tower with protruding side galleries in the west and a sacristy on the north side of the choir. The tower has brick gables with sound openings on all four sides, on which a pointed spire rests. The nave has entrances in the north and south, the tower in the west and the choir in the south. The nave is the oldest part of the church and was built in the first half of the 13th century. For this purpose, the tower was built in the middle of the 13th century. In the first half of the 14th century, the large Gothic choir was built, which was intended as the first step in building a completely new church. For this purpose, the nave was provisionally extended to the east. The sacristy was probably added in the late Middle Ages. The entrances have perspective portals. All portals except the choir portal are Romanesque . The choir portal is the largest portal, but not the main entrance. It is adorned with rich figurative decorations in flat and less flat relief from the time the choir was built. From the inside, the choir and the tower room are covered by a vault, while the nave has a trapezoidal roof made of wood. Stained glass can be seen in the choir windows. In the east window there are three panes from the construction time of the choir, in the south window there are two panes from the 17th century. To the south of the altar there is a remarkable limestone choir bench attached to the wall with gables decorated in relief from the construction period. The altar is from the first half of the 15th century, otherwise the colorful furnishings come from the 18th century. The stately pulpit was made by Johan Dunderhake in 1756 . On the banks and scattered on the roof of the nave are figure paintings from 1706.
