Kjell Arne Gøranson (born December 13, 1970 in Bærum ) is a former Norwegian beach volleyball player .

Career

Gøranson played his first open tournaments in 1998 with Iver Andreas Horrem . 1999 did not get beyond the last place at the World Championships in Marseille and finished 17th at the European Championships in Palma . The following year they reached 13th place at the European Championships in Getxo . From 2001 he played with Espen Gøranson . At the World Cup in Klagenfurt , the duo dropped out in the preliminary round. The partnership ended in 2003 with the Grand Slam in Los Angeles .

In 2004 Gøranson played with Tarjei Skarlund and reached two ninth places in Stavanger and Stare Jabłonki . With Martin Engvik he lost the opening game of the 2005 World Cup in Berlin and finally failed in the losing round to the Brazilians Franco / Tande .

In 2006 he formed a new duo with Vegard Høidalen , who were eliminated early at the European Championships in The Hague with two defeats against the Swiss Laciga brothers and the Spaniards Herrera / Mesa . In the second round of the 2007 World Cup in Gstaad, they lost to Brazilians Emanuel / Ricardo as third in the group . After separating from Høidalen at the end of 2008, Gøranson played with Øivind Hordvik at the 2009 World Cup in Stavanger , with the Norwegians being eliminated in front of their home crowd.
