The average height is around 88 meters. The inhabitants are mostly Croatian by nationality and Roman Catholic by religion . The neighboring municipalities are: Gornja Vrba to the west, Oprisavci to the east, the municipality borders on the neighboring country Bosnia-Herzegovina to the south . The soil in the area of the parish is very flat and fertile. From Ruščica to Donja Bebrina, along the Sava River , there is a wide pasture landscape on which many cows and other animals graze in summer. In terms of economic sectors, the most common is agriculture, especially cattle breeding. There are about fifty smaller private companies that also make up the local economy.

In the near future the problem of drinking water supply is to be solved.

The parts of the municipality's land, flooded by meltwater in autumn, mostly flat pastureland, amount to around 1,500 hectares. They form a biotope for game and fish.
