The 1955/56 season was the sixth season of Class B as the second highest Soviet ice hockey league .

mode

The 24 participants in Class B were initially divided into four groups of six teams each. Each team played in a return match against each group opponent. The winners of each group qualified for the final round, the Erstplatzierter in the Klass A rising. Each team received two points for a win, one point for a draw and zero points for a defeat.
