Klaus Hüppchen (born March 7, 1969 ) is a former German handball player and current trainer . His height is 1.78 m.

Hüppchen learned to play handball at TV Cannstatt. In the B and A youth he played at SV Fellbach . Hüppchen made his first Bundesliga appearances at SG Stuttgart-Scharnhausen . Parallel to his studies, he played with the Reinickendorfer Füchsen in Berlin in the 2nd Bundesliga . A serious injury ended his playing career.

Stations of his coaching career were in the youth area of ​​TV Cannstatt, SV Fellbach and TSV Schmiden as well as in the women's area of ​​TSV Schmiden, SG Ober- / Unterhausen and TV Echterdingen. In the men's area, his path led through SKV Oberstenfeld , VfL Pfullingen , where he was promoted to the 1st Bundesliga under Rolf Brack as an assistant coach, and TG Nürtingen to VfL Waiblingen . In January 2009, Hüppchen successfully completed training for the A license . During the 2008/09 season , Hüppchen moved to the second division TV Bittenfeld as an assistant coach , where he formed the coaching team with Günter Schweikardt and Jens Baumbach . At the end of the 2010/11 season, Hüppchen qualified with the TVB for the newly founded single-track 2nd handball Bundesliga . He left the TVB at the end of the 2011/12 season . In November 2012, Hüppchen was again the coach of the Württemberg club VfL Waiblingen, where he only remained in office for two and a half months. Hüppchen has been training the female C-youth of SV Remshalden since 2016 . Since the 2016/17 season he has been the coach of the first women's team at HSG Leinfelden-Echterdingen .

Has Hüppchen after studying in Berlin and Stuttgart a degree as a graduate mechanical engineer and works for Getrag in Untergruppenbach . He lives with his family in Freiberg am Neckar .
