Klaus Hüppchen (born March 7, 1969 ) is a former German handball player and current trainer . His height is 1.78 m.
Hüppchen learned to play handball at TV Cannstatt. In the B and A youth he played at SV Fellbach . Hüppchen made his first Bundesliga appearances at SG Stuttgart-Scharnhausen . Parallel to his studies, he played with the Reinickendorfer Füchsen in Berlin in the 2nd Bundesliga . A serious injury ended his playing career.
Stations of his coaching career were in the youth area of TV Cannstatt, SV Fellbach and TSV Schmiden as well as in the women's area of TSV Schmiden, SG Ober- / Unterhausen and TV Echterdingen. In the men's area, his path led through SKV Oberstenfeld , VfL Pfullingen , where he was promoted to the 1st Bundesliga under Rolf Brack as an assistant coach, and TG Nürtingen to VfL Waiblingen . In January 2009, Hüppchen successfully completed training for the A license . During the 2008/09 season , Hüppchen moved to the second division TV Bittenfeld as an assistant coach , where he formed the coaching team with Günter Schweikardt and Jens Baumbach . At the end of the 2010/11 season, Hüppchen qualified with the TVB for the newly founded single-track 2nd handball Bundesliga . He left the TVB at the end of the 2011/12 season . In November 2012, Hüppchen was again the coach of the Württemberg club VfL Waiblingen, where he only remained in office for two and a half months. Hüppchen has been training the female C-youth of SV Remshalden since 2016 . Since the 2016/17 season he has been the coach of the first women's team at HSG Leinfelden-Echterdingen .
Has Hüppchen after studying in Berlin and Stuttgart a degree as a graduate mechanical engineer and works for Getrag in Untergruppenbach . He lives with his family in Freiberg am Neckar .
