Klaus Voswinckel (born May 23, 1943 in Hamburg ) is a German filmmaker and writer .

Life

Klaus Voswinckel studied German and philosophy at the universities in Freiburg im Breisgau and Munich . In 1975 he received his doctorate in philosophy from the University of Munich with a thesis on Paul Celan . Voswinckel, who has lived in Munich since 1965 , runs a company there that produces films for television , including numerous films for which Voswinckel writes the script or directs . In addition to his work as a filmmaker , he publishes narrative works and travel reports .

Klaus Voswinckel is a member of the Association of German Writers and the PEN Center Germany . He received u. a. 1980 the "Münchner Literaturjahr" scholarship , 2000 the Wilhelm Hausenstein award from the Bavarian Academy of Fine Arts and in 2008 the Ferryhouse jury award for the best music documentation at the " Unerhört-Fimfest " in Hamburg .
