Kleinerkmannsdorf has been a district of Radeberg since 1999 . The place was an independent municipality until 1970, after which it was a district of Großerkmannsdorf .

history

As early as 1404, the place was mentioned in the interest register of the Kreuzkirche in Dresden . Before 1551, Kleinerkmannsdorf was a Vorwerk that belonged to Großerkmannsdorf. In 1521 the Vorwerk came into the possession of the St. Afra Monastery in Meißen . In 1551 it was first mentioned as Clein Erckmisdorf . Initially, the term "the new village" was also used until the term Kleinerkmannsdorf became common.

A windmill stood between Groß- and Kleinerkmannsdorf as early as the 17th century . Today it is preserved as a ruin.

A pond festival has been held every summer since the village pond was repaired. The carp are fished in autumn . The fish is sold on site.
