The Kleine Schulerloch is a natural karst cave near Oberau, a district of the Lower Bavarian market town of Essing in the Kelheim district in Bavaria .

It is a natural cave in the Franconian Alb above the Altmühl and is registered in the Franconian Alb cave register (HFA) as H 30. The cave is located 200 m west of the larger Schulerloch cave .

The Kleine Schulerloch is protected as a cultural monument. In it are unique Ice Age rock carvings in the Magdalenian style from 13,000 to 10,000 BC. BC, whose authenticity is scientifically not recognized beyond doubt. An ibex or reindeer caught in a trap is shown . The motif was discovered by the judicial inspector Alexander Oberneder from Kelheim and the taxidermist Oskar Rieger in 1937 in the vestibule, about seven meters from the entrance. An early medieval runic inscription is carved next to the rock painting, the authenticity of which is disputed in research in the context of the rock painting.

The Kleine Schulerloch is located in the Schulerloch nature reserve and is closed by a gate and not accessible to visitors.
