Hatvan Small Area

The Hatvan small area ( Hungarian Hatvani kistérség ) was a Hungarian administrative unit ( LAU 1) in the west of Heves County in northern Hungary until the end of 2012 . During the administrative reform of 2013, all 13 localities were taken over in the subsequent Hatvan district (Hungarian Hatvani járás ).

At the end of 2012, 50,872 people lived in an area of ​​352.16 km². The population density of 144.5 inhabitants / km² was the second highest in the county after that of the small area of ​​Eger .

The administrative seat was in Hatvan (20,525 Ew.). Lőrinci (5,696 Ew.) Also had the town charter. The 11 municipalities (Hungarian község ) had an average population of 2,241 (on an area of ​​23.85 km²).
