Apc is a Hungarian community in the county Hatvan in Heves county .
Geographical location
The place is in the north of Hungary in Hatvan County, about 80 km northeast of Budapest , west at the foot of the former volcanic Somlyó mountain (397 m above sea level). The Zagyva River flows past to the west.
history
Archaeological finds prove that Apc was already inhabited in the Bronze Age . The history of the village goes back to the Árpád era. At the beginning of the 14th century it is mentioned in a document in connection with the payment of taxes. The place was not spared by the Mongol storm either.
climate
The climate is temperate continental. Maximum temperatures above 34 ° C in July, minimum temperatures below minus 11 ° C in January. The average annual rainfall barely exceeds 600 mm.
