Pétervására small area

The small area Pétervására ( Hungarian Pétervásárai kistérség ) was a Hungarian administrative unit ( LAU 1) within Heves County in northern Hungary until the end of 2012 . During the administrative reform of 2013, the allocation of the localities did not change. All 20 localities were taken over in the Pétervására district (Hungarian Pétervásárai járás ).

At the end of 2012, 21,381 people lived in an area of ​​475.07 km². The population density of the second poorest small area was the lowest in the county with 45 inhabitants / km².

The administrative seat was in the only city Pétervására (2.306 Ew.). The two localities Parád and Recsk were large municipalities (Hungarian nagyközség ) with over 2,000 inhabitants. This and the 17 municipalities (Hungarian község ) had an average population of 1,004 (each 23.22 km² area).
