Pétervására is a small place in Hungary with the status of a city. With around 2600 inhabitants, it is the smallest city in Hungary. Pétervására is located in Heves County in the north-east of the country, near the Slovakian border and is the seat of the district administration . Not far, about 30 km southwest, is the Kékes , Hungary's highest mountain at 1014 m.
