Mátraderecske is a Hungarian community in the county Pétervására in Heves county .

Geographical location

Mátraderecske is located on the northeastern edge of the Mátra Mountains , eight kilometers south of the district town of Pétervására , on the small river Almáskút-patak, which rises in the center of the village. Neighboring municipalities are Recsk and Mátraballa .

Mátraderecske Spa

In the health resort of Mátraderecske, next to the Kincses thermal baths, there is the only dry bath in the country with medicinal properties, the so-called Mofette . In 1992 harmful colorless and odorless carbon dioxide streamed to the surface of the earth and terrified the village. Today the heavy gas is led into basins that are covered with wooden lattices so that it can get through the skin into the human organism and develop its healing properties.

history

The village was already mentioned in the papal tithe register of the years 1332-1337 under the name De Reske and at that time already had a church . Around 1479 the place was called Derechke .

At the beginning of the 19th century, the Dort belonged to the Grassalkovich , Orczy , Bay, Balogh, Kubinyi, Ondrekovics, Recsky, Ivády, Liszkay, Gomba and Kecskemét families as well as Ullmann.

At the beginning of the 20th century it belonged to Sándorné Barkóczy.
