Bélapátfalva small area

The small area Bélapátfalva ( Hungarian Bélapátfalvai kistérség ) was a Hungarian administrative unit ( LAU-1 ) in the northeast of Heves County in northern Hungary until the end of 2012 . In the course of the administrative reform at the beginning of 2013, 8 of the 13 localities (with 8,870 inhabitants) were transferred to the following district of Bélapátfalva (Hungarian Bélapátfalvai járás ), 5 localities (with 3,330 inhabitants) moved to the southern district of Eger .

At the end of 2012 there were 12,200 inhabitants on an area of ​​260.06 km². The small area was last in the county in terms of area and population and had a population density of 47 inhabitants / km².

The administrative seat was in the only city Bélapátfalva (3.075 Ew.). The 12 municipalities (Hungarian község ) had an average population of 760 (over an area of ​​18.62 km² each).
