Kleinschwand is a district of the Tännesberg market in the Neustadt an der Waldnaab district in Upper Palatinate .

The place is about four kilometers from the main town Tännesberg on the federal road 22 .
history
The place comes from a clearing in the 11th century. In 1821 60 families lived in the village. In 1875 the volunteer fire brigade was founded. At that time Kleinschwand belonged to the royal district office of Vohenstrauss . In 1933 the place had a total of 232 inhabitants. On April 1, 1949, the rest of the dissolved municipality of Woppenrieth was incorporated.
On January 1, 1972, the previously independent community of Kleinschwand, to which the village of Voitsberg also belonged, was dissolved in the course of the municipal reform and came to the Tännesberg market.
