The Klingebach is a 7.4 kilometer long orographically right tributary of the Edersee tributary Reiherbach in the Waldeck-Frankenberg district in Hesse , Germany . It therefore belongs to the river system of the Weser .
course
Several sources east of the state road 3200 and south of the federal road 485 in the district of Sachsenhausen , in the area of the desolate village of Klingen , feed the stream. It flows first to the south-southeast, then turns sharply to the west and crosses under the L 3200. Then it flows south of Sachsenhausen through a picturesque valley around the "Klinger Berg" ( 380 m above sea level ) on three sides - to the north, west and south . In the valley, on the south side of the Klinger Berg, it passes the natural monument “Klinger Klippen”, a formation of limestone cliffs . Finally the brook bends to the south-southeast again and flows along the L 3200 before it flows north-east of Nieder-Werbe , near the Hemmenroth desert , about 800 meters before it flows into the Edersee in the north-east along the eastern flank of the Großer Dörnberg ( 372 m above sea level) . The Klingebachtal was registered as an FFH protected area (fauna, flora, habitat) by the state of Hesse as part of the Natura 2000 program of the EU .
