history

The band was formed in 1995 by singer David, guitarist Guillaume Bernard, bassist Julien Comte and drummer Laurent Thomas. Guitarist Mika Moreau and keyboardist and saxophonist Matthieu Metzger joined the band in 1999. In the following years they developed some pieces and made some, smaller appearances.

They released their first album called Duplicate in 2003 without the support of a label. The album was mixed by Ivan "Jordan Master" Herceg and mastered by Jean-Pierre Bouquet at L'Autre Studio .

In 2004 EP High Blood Pressure followed . After the release followed a tour together with Gojira , Aborted , Psykup , Scarve , Defdump , Drowning , Sleepers , Comity , Eyeless , Stereotypical Working Class and Hertz and Silence .

Bassist Julien Comte left in 2006 and was replaced by Hugues Andriot. The band played at Hellfest the following year , where they came into contact with the boss of Season of Mist and won a contract for two albums.

In 2008 the album All Seeing Eye was released on Season of Mist. Production lasted four months and was taken over by Sylvain Biguet ( Trepalium , Comity, Mistaken Element ). The album was again mastered by Jean-Pierre Bouquet. On the album Joe Duplantier (Gojira, Cavalera Conspiracy ) was to be heard as a guest singer in the title song. After the release, a tour of France and some other countries followed.

Then the band entered the studio together with Franck Hueso ( Hacride , Mistaken Element). The album Black Days was released on Season of Mist in 2010. The album also featured a cover version of Björk's Army of Me . The new bassist Jean Etienne Maillard and drummer Florent Marcadet could be heard on the new album.

In 2011 she released the EP The Eye of Needle .

style

On their website, the band lists Meshuggah , Porcupine Tree , Coroner , Devin Townsend , Opeth , Tool , Isis , Aphex Twin , Björk and Neurosis as their main influences. The complexity of the songs and their complex structure are characteristic. The use of demanding rhythms is also typical of the style.
