The Knogl ( 1056 m ), also spelled Knogel , is a mountain in the Bavarian Forest southeast of the municipality of Sankt Englmar and is located in the Bavarian Forest Nature Park . It is almost completely forested.
The nearest neighboring mountains are the Predigtstuhl ( 1024 m ) and the Pröller ( 1048 m ) to the northwest , the Hirschenstein ( 1092 m ) and the Rauhe Kulm ( 1050 m ) to the southeast .
The southern route of the Goldsteig hiking trail leads over the summit of the Knogl .
