Koh Kong ( Khmer កោះកុង , transcription: Kôh Kŏng , pronunciation in IPA : [ ko̯h koŋ ], Khaet Koh Kong , "province of the island of Kong") is a province of Cambodia . The provincial capital is called Khemara Phoumin .

About 40 km south is the island of Koh Kong ("Island Kong").
