Kampot ( Khmer កំពត , transcription: Kâmpôt , IPA : [ kɑmpot ]) is a province of Cambodia . The provincial capital is also called Kampot . It is located in the south of the country and has access to the Gulf of Thailand .

Kampot Province is divided into eight administrative districts.
