Kolodne ( Ukrainian Колодне ; Russian Колодное Kolodnoje , Polish Kołodno [-Lisowszczyzna] ) is a village in Sbarash Raion of Ternopil Oblast in western Ukraine about 11 kilometers northwest of the Raion capital Sbarasch and 24 kilometers north of the Oblast capital Ternopil .

View of the place

On July 17, 2015, the village became the center of the newly established rural community Kolodne ( Колодненська сільська громада Kolodnenska silska hromada ). This also includes the 4 villages Boljasuby ( Болязуби ), Hlyntschuky ( Глинчуки ), Reshnivka ( Решнівка ) and Schymkivtsi ( Шимківці ).

The place was mentioned in writing for the first time in 1465 and initially belonged to the aristocratic republic of Poland-Lithuania (in the Volhynia Voivodeship ). With the partitions of Poland , the place fell to the Russian Empire and was in the Volhynia governorate until the end of the First World War .

After the end of the First World War, the place became part of Poland (as Kołodno-Lisowszczyzna in the Volyn Voivodeship , Powiat Krzemieniec , Gmina Kołodno-Lisowszczyzna ), was occupied by the Soviet Union from 1939 to 1941 during the Second World War, and then by Germany until 1944 . This incorporated the place into the Reichskommissariat Ukraine .

After the end of the war the place was added to the Soviet Union , there the village came to the Ukrainian SSR and has been part of today's Ukraine since 1991.
