Conference of Protestant Communities

The Conference of Protestant Communities is an association of celibate communities and communities within the EKD . At the beginning of the 2000s, the conference opened up to the entire German-speaking area. The conference meets every two years as a general assembly of representatives from all communities involved.

The spiritual and diaconal field of activity of the communities includes, for example, pastoral care , conferences, the Voluntary Social Year (FSJ), the Federal Voluntary Service (BFD), retreats and a "temporary monastery " stay.

The conference works closely with the Meeting of Spiritual Communities, which also includes non-celibate communities.
