On May 25, 2015. in the magazine Sneaker Bunko the publisher Kadokawa announced that the manganese - and Light-Novel series Kono Sekai ni Subarashii Shukufuku o! the mangaka Natsume Akatsuki will be implemented as an anime series . Takaomi Kanasaki was confirmed as director ; The animation studio is Studio Deen . In August of the same year it was announced that the series would be broadcast from January 2016. In Japan, the first episode was on 13 January 2016 including in Tokyo MX shown during the series in North America in simulcast at AnimeLab and Crunchyroll is streaming. The first season includes ten episodes and an OVA . She processes the first two volumes of the manga series.
In mid-March 2016, a second season was confirmed for the coming year. Also the second season, which under Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku o! 2 was created by Takaomi Kanasaki on behalf of Studio Deen. The second season, which also has ten episodes and an OVA, takes up what happened in volumes three and four.
A new anime project was announced in July 2017, but the exact format was not disclosed. In June 2018, the production of an anime feature film was announced and will be released in 2019. While the cast around the director was largely retained, it became known that the animation studio JCStaff was producing the film.

The Hikikomori Kazuma Satō dies on the way home while trying to save a girl. In the underworld, the goddess of water Aqua makes fun of the circumstances of his death and offers Kazuma to be reborn in an MMORPG- like world to defeat the demon king, whereby he is granted a divine weapon or ability. Due to the previous provocations, Kazuma decides to take Aqua with him to the new world. After the first day of the quest goes badly, Kazuma and Aqua try to find new comrades for their party. This can be found in the archmage Megumin, who can use a devastating explosion spell. But in the quest it quickly turns out that Megumin also turns out to be rather useless, since the explosion spell consumes all of her mana and she is unable to move for some time after using the spell. Added to this is their stubbornness to learn other magic spells. The quest can still be mastered with a bang. Day after day, the two of them walk near an apparently abandoned castle that Megumin razed to the ground with an explosion . As a result, the Dullahan Verdin appears one day in front of Axel's city gate and complains about the audacity of devastating his castle every day with explosion magic. He applies the death spell to Darkness and asks Megumin, who shortly before reveals herself to be the culprit, to come to his castle to save Darkness' life. The group wants to make money. However, since only difficult challenges are available, Aqua decides to take on a task to cleanse a contaminated lake with her magic and to drive away the alligators living there. The task is not particularly easy, as Aqua is attacked by the alligators while cleaning. A cage that was borrowed especially for the task protects the goddess from great physical damage, but is traumatized in the process . On the way back to Axel, the party meets Kyōya Misurugi, who was sent into this game world by Aqua before Kazumi. This involves Kazuma due to the misunderstanding - Mitsurugi thinks that Aqua is being held captive against her will - in a duel, as a result of which Kazuma steals Mitsurugi's divine sword with the aid of his thief ability and uses it against him. The next day Mitsurugi tries to get his sword back, but is horrified to find that Kazuma has sold it. Obviously angry that Megumin has not followed his requests and that his castle is still being used by her for her magic training, the latter summons a horde of undead followers after Aqua's healing magic has proven to be very effective against him . However, these are quickly defeated by Megumin's explosion magic. While Darkness competes against the Dullahan Verdia, Kazuma manages to track down Veria's weakness towards the water element and orders Aqua to attack it with water magic, whereupon this creates a flood , as a result of which the Dullahan is weakened. Kazuma is able to steal the Dullahan's head thanks to his ability to make it vulnerable to Aqua's healing magic. Since the group needs money to pay off their debts, they decide, despite the cold weather, to take on a quest in which you have to kill snow ghosts. Kazuma and Aqua visit a magic shop run by the kind-hearted Lich Wiz, a former general to the Demon King. After teaching Kazuma to use a gnawing grip, the troop go on a quest to exorcise a cursed mansion . In return, Kazuma and his colleagues are allowed to spend the winter in this villa. Later that night, Megumin and Kazuma find themselves forced to flee from cursed toy dolls and go to the bathroom. The group nevertheless succeeds in pacifying the souls and freeing them from souls. While strolling in Axel, Kazuma meets his friends and adventure colleagues Keith and Dust and together they go to a shop that is run by Succubi and gives male adventurers relaxation from work through erotic dreams. After Kazuma had a princely dinner with his colleagues in the villa and fell asleep in the bathtub , he mistakenly thinks he already has an erotic dream of Darkness and orders him to wash. However, it is Aqua who captures the succubus before she can administer his dream to Kazuma. So he helps the succubus girl to escape, but is beaten up by Aqua, Megumin and Darkness. Kazuma and his party are now well prepared for the impending danger. While Megumin and Wiz fire a blast spell at the enemy to break through the magic shield, Darkness reveals to Kazuma that she comes from a wealthy family and in a real name: Dustiness Lord Lalatina. With the help of the explosion magic of Megumin and Wiz, as well as Aqua's magic, the group succeeds in destroying the shield and causing considerable damage to the fortress, which activates the self-destruct function . Kazuma and his group manage to find the core and use Wiz to teleport it somewhere else before Megumin works her explosion magic again. OVA. When the troops visit Wiz's shop, they meet the archmage Yunyun, who portrays herself as Megumin's rival. During a quarrel between the two magicians, Kazuma puts on an enchanted collar that is supposed to fulfill a wish of the wearer but at the same time kills him by suffocation within four days if it does not come true during this time. But since he doesn't know what he wanted, he makes the girls do naughty things and grant his every wish. It was only after he apologized to everyone on the fourth day that the collar fell off, as his desire was to live a pure life without sin. The five girls are very upset. Kazuma is suspected of being close to the demon king because the core of the mobile fortress "Destroyer" has blown up the property of a noble man after an arbitrary teleportation . Since he was not supported by the rest of the crowd, he was arrested and taken to a prison cell. Several of Aqua's plans to free Kazuma fail miserably, partly due to her poor intelligence . During the interrogation with Sena, in which a magical lie detector is used, the suspicion is reinforced due to his contact with Wiz, and various minor offenses of a perverse nature also come to light. Kazuma will be tried, but not convicted. Alderp, the victim of the explosion, tries to manipulate the judge and have the accused executed . With a rather fortunate attack, the two seem to succeed in defeating Vanir, but his mask soon takes possession of Darkness' s body, which reveals its entire masochistic side. After Kazuma eliminates the magic circle and closes Vanir's mask with a seal, this Darkness tries to use body to take revenge on Aqua. On the run from the angry mob, Kazuma and his colleagues find out that the hot springs are caused by the man from the mixed bath. He reveals himself to be Hans, a general of the Demon King and immediately takes on his true form as a poisonous slime . When the group finds out that Hans has absorbed the overseer of the springs, Wiz attacks him for violating the agreement while Aqua cleanses the lake of the poison with the help of their believers. Kazuma finds out that one can still be resuscitated if the body is not completely decomposed and decides to sacrifice himself so that Megumin and Wiz can considerably weaken their opponent and finally defeat Aqua. OVA. Kazuma meets novice adventurer Ran, who introduces herself as his biggest fan and wants to hear stories about past adventures. So he offers her a heavily alcoholic drink, but shortly afterwards Luna sends her on a mission to defeat a huge, mechanical golem . After the somehow successful end of the mission, Kazuma reported on his heroic deeds in a somewhat oversized manner before he was sent back to the ruins to investigate. While exploring, the troops find a diary of a Japanese who was sent to this world by Aqua years ago to defeat the Demon King. By the time he loses interest in his mission and spends time trying Bishojo to develop robots. He searches with interest for the workshop and actually finds one of these robots that is activated by Aqua. The robot pulls a whip to punish its master. Kazuma remembers reading in the diary that the inventor had developed a masochistic tendency over time. They flee and Megumin blows up the ruin. In the guild he tells his story to Ran again, but she leaves the restaurant in the meantime, visibly annoyed . Kazuma follows Ran and sees her having an argument with Luna. Since Kazuma wants to rush to her help, he hears how Ran demands more money from Luna for her mission to listen to Kazuma's stories to motivate him.
