Konrad Friedrich Ernst Bierling

Konrad Friedrich Ernst Bierling (born September 15, 1709 in Rinteln ; † January 14, 1755 ibid) was a German Lutheran theologian .

Life

Konrad Friedrich Ernst was born as the son of theology professor Friedrich Wilhelm Bierling and his wife Anne Christine Sophie Eggerding. After attending school in Rinteln, he continued his education at the grammar school in Minden in May 1722 and at the University of Rinteln in 1724 . In addition to his father, Wigand Kahler (1699–1747) were in logic and metaphysics, Johann Hermann Fürstenau in physics, Friedrich Ulrich Pestel (1691–1764) in philosophical ethics, nature and constitutional law, as well as in the theological subjects with Johann Kahler and Johann Engelhard Steuerber . On July 15, 1729, he acquired the right to hold lectures and subsequently held private lectures in Rinteln. On October 29, 1731 he became a full professor of logic and metaphysics, received the degree of Master of Philosophy from the University of Göttingen on December 7, 1745 and became an honorary member of the German Society in Göttingen on October 24, 1746 . In 1749 he became a full professor of theology and in 1751 he was appointed doctor of theology. In addition, he took part in the organizational tasks of the Rinteln University and in 1737 was prorector of the educational institution.
