Konstantin Krimmel

Konstantin Krimmel (* 1993 in Ulm ) is a German opera, concert and lied singer with a baritone voice.

biography

Konstantin Krimmel took part in the St. Georgs Choirboys in Ulm and began his singing studies with Teru Yoshihara at the Stuttgart University of Music and Performing Arts in 2014 . Master classes with Brigitte Fassbaender , Magreet Honig, Noelle Turner and Thomas Heyer completed his training. He gained his first stage experience as a soloist in 2016 at the Wilhelma Theater Stuttgart as Antonio in Le nozze di Figaro and in 2017 at the Theater Heilbronn as Zoroastro in Georg Friedrich Händel's opera Orlando . In 2018 he obtained his bachelor's degree and won prizes in seven major, mostly international, competitions.

In the international production of Don Giovanni as part of the Music Overcomes Walls project , in Aug./Sep. In 2018 he played the role of Leporello in Severodonetsk, Ukraine. In June / July 2019, he appeared in the role of Nardo at the performances of La finta giardiniera on the occasion of the Federal Horticultural Show in Heilbronn. From January 2020 he portrayed Jesus in a staged production of Bach's St. Matthew Passion at the Hessian State Theater Wiesbaden .

As a lieder singer, he worked with the pianist Doriana Tchakarova from 2018 to 2020 and performed a wide range of works from the 18th to the 20th centuries with her. These included songs by Claude Debussy , Carl Loewe , Gustav Mahler , Joseph Marx , Franz Schubert , Robert Schumann , Ralph Vaughan Williams and Hugo Wolf . The international activities of this duo were recitals at the Oxford Lieder Festival and the Schubertiada Vilabertran in the fourth quarter of 2019 . Concerts with the well-known song pianist Helmut Deutsch in Vienna and Berlin resulted from the 1st prize in the competition named after this artist in September 2018. He made his debut at the Schubertiade Hohenems in July 2020 with Daniel Heide on the piano.
