Konstantin Sergejewitsch Popow ( Russian Константин Сергеевич Попов ; born July 22, 1972 in Novyj Sai ) is a former Russian biathlete .
Konstantin Popow won the silver medal behind the Norwegians in the relay race at the 1997 Summer Biathlon World Championships in Krakow on the side of Oleg Rudenko , Dmitri Nikiforow and Sergei Russinow . In the pursuit race, he was also runner- up behind Wilfried Pallhuber . In the Biathlon World Cup he came towards the end of the 1997/98 season in Pokljuka and Hochfilzen for his only missions. In the first individual in Pokljuka Popow was 46th, in Hochfilzen he won his only World Cup points with a 13th place in the individual and a 21st place in the sprint. With the 18 points won, he finished 54th in the overall ranking of the season. In the further course, the renewed participation in the Summer World Championships in Osrblie followed . With Rudenko, Sergei Konovalov and Wladimir Bechterew he won the title in the relay race and was also third behind Pallhuber and Alexei Kobelew in the pursuit race.
