Konstantin Sergejewitsch Savenkow ( Kazakh Константин Сергеевич Савенков ; born March 25, 1990 in Ust-Kamenogorsk , Kazakh SSR ) is a Kazakh ice hockey player who has been under contract with Rubin Tyumen from the Vyshaya Hockey League since July 2017 .

Career

Konstantin Sawenkow began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the youth department of Kaszink-Torpedo Ust-Kamenogorsk . From there he moved to HK Awangard Omsk , for whose second team he was active from 2006 to 2008 in the Pervaya League , the third Russian division. During the 2007/08 season, the winger returned to Ust-Kamenogorsk and spent the rest of the season with the latter's second team, also in the Pervaya League. From 2008 to 2014 he ran for the professional team of Kaszink Torpedo in the second Russian division, the Wysschaya League , which has been called the Wysschaya Hockey League since the 2010/11 season . In the meantime he also played three games for Barys Astana in the Continental Hockey League . After spending the 2014/15 season with Kazakh league rivals HK Saryarka Karaganda , he moved back to his hometown in 2015.

International

For Kazakhstan , Sawenkow took part in the junior division of the U18 Junior World Championship in Division I 2008 , the U20 Junior World Championships in 2008 and 2009 and the U20 Junior World Championship in Division I in 2010 . In the senior sector, he was in his country's squad for the first time at the 2012 World Cup . At the 2013 World Cup he won Group A of Division I with the Kazakh team and thus returned directly to the top division. Also in 2015 he won the A group of Division I with the Kazakhs. He also represented his colors in qualifying for the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi .
