Konstantinos Kalogeropoulos (born October 25, 1982 in Stuttgart ) is a German conductor , pianist and music producer of Greek descent.

Live and act

Konstantinos Kalogeropoulos grew up in Esslingen am Neckar and received his first piano lessons at the age of three. After graduating from high school, he completed his music studies at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Stuttgart from 2002 with a diploma in 2007 in the subjects of piano, composition and conducting. In the same year he studied for several months as part of the Erasmus program at the Real Conservatorio Superior de Música de Madrid and then completed the master's degree in hearing education in Stuttgart in 2007. During this time he was a DAAD scholarship holder. In 2013 he received his doctorate by distance learning from the University of Leicester on a subject of film music ("Narratological, Psychological and Semiotic Relationship between Opera and Film. A Case Study of Richard Wagner's Ring The Ring Cycle and Howard Shore's The Lord of the Rings".)

Kalogeropoulos worked for some time as musical director and pianist on cruise ships and as a pianist on various projects, including the Musical Gentlemen (2015-2018). From 2014 to 2019 he was musical director of the Benefiz Musical Gala in Heidenheim. Since 2015 he has been a regular pianist and guest conductor in various productions at the Landestheater Dinkelsbühl and in 2018 he was the musical director of the musical Die Päpstin at the Theaterhaus Stuttgart . Since 2017 he has been the pianist for the show "Michael Jackson Tribute Live Experience" with Michael Jackson imitator Sascha Pazdera. In this context, he joined a. a. in the Tempodrom Berlin, the Mehr Theater Hamburg and the Düsseldorf Capitol Theater . Since 2018 he has accompanied the Gentlemen of Voices as a pianist .

Kalogeropoulos has been the musical director of the Ludwig² musical at Ludwigs Festspielhaus since 2016 , where he also directed the production of A Midsummer Night's Dream in 2017 .

In 2019 he produced his first two shows Piano Impact Absolute Live at the Württembergische Landesbühne Esslingen and the crossover production "Ludwig meets Michael Jackson" at Ludwigs Festspielhaus.

In 2018 he released his first solo CD Piano Impact.

Kalogeropoulos teaches at the municipal music school in Esslingen and was a lecturer in accompaniment and song interpretation at the Junge Akademie Stuttgart from 2014 to 2018 .

Private

Up to the age of 18 he was an active figure skater and reached the master class in the individual competition. In 2002 he won the bronze medal at the German championships in 2002 with the synchronous team from Mannheim .

Compositions

Kalogeropoulos composed various film scores, including for the film Dard Divorce as well as for television and musical background music, such as for the radio play The Witcher .
