Barrier and power plant
A weir system was built near the city of Maribor , which dammed the Drava into a small reservoir. At this weir, the channel branches off on the right bank of the river, through which the water of the Drava flows to the Zlatoličje power station .
The power plant uses the remaining amount of water that has to be discharged into the river bed of the Drava. With two machines, it has an installed capacity of 2.26 MW . The average annual production is 8.69 million kWh . The flow rate is 30 m³ / s.
