The District Deanery Rhein-Sieg-Kreis , based in Siegburg, is one of 15 deaneries in the Archdiocese of Cologne . It was created on June 1, 2008 from the district deans of the Rhine-Sieg district on the left bank of the Rhine and the Rhein-Sieg district on the right bank of the Rhine .
Spatial allocation and structure
The assigned pastoral care areas are in the area of the Rhein-Sieg-Kreis and the Oberbergischer Kreis in North Rhine-Westphalia as well as in adjacent areas in the north of Rhineland-Palatinate .
The district dean's office comprises 26 pastoral care areas, including the six independent parishes of St. Patricius, Eitorf ; St. Johannes, Lohmar ; St. Martin, Rheinbach ; St. Servatius, Siegburg ; St. Johannes, Sieglar and St. Marien , Wachtberg .
As part of the reorganization of the deaneries on January 1, 2017, the deaneries of Bornheim, Eitorf / Hennef, Königswinter, Lohmar, Neunkirchen, Meckenheim / Rheinbach , Siegburg / Sankt Augustin and Troisdorf , which had previously been assigned to the district deanery, were dissolved. The tasks of the deaneries were transferred to the district deanery.
Facilities
The Caritasverband Rhein-Sieg eV , the Katholische Bildungswerk im Rhein-Sieg-Kreis , the Katholische Jugendagentur Bonn gGmbH and the school department in the Rhein-Sieg-Kreis (rrh.) And Altenkirchen are active in the district . The Archdiocese of Cologne maintains the Catholic Social Institute in Siegburg with a nationwide reach.
