Krepbach between Untergrainau and Schmölz |
The Krepbach is a small flowing water in the municipality of Grainau . The course of the Krepbach is divided into three different sections according to name and water characteristics.
The upper part of the main strand of the water begins below the Waxenstein near the Bärenfalle corridor and drains through a steep, stony channel, the so-called Zuggasse , and further about 750 m east past the Eibsee , parallel to State Road 2061 or the route of the Bavarian Zugspitzbahn . This upper section of the Krepbach is also known as the Rohrbach and only carries water on the surface after heavy rainfall.
In the second section, between the Christlhütte and the Grainau district of Badersee, several spring outlets in the Breitla corridor lead to a year-round superficial runoff. In this middle section, the Krepbach is also called Reitlabach .
In the third section, the body of water, henceforth referred to as Krepbach , flows through the Untergrainau district . On the eastern outskirts of Untergrainau the Brücklesbach flows from the south . The Krepbach then flows through meadows and forest to Schmölz, where it flows into the Hammersbach , just 300 m before it flows into the Loisach .
