The Krimmelberg near Schmitten in the Hessian Hochtaunuskreis is 660.2 m above sea level. NHN high mountain in the eastern Hintertaunus , part of the German low mountain range Taunus .

Geographical location
The Krimmelberg is located in the south of the Schmitten district , about 300 meters west of the Hegewiese settlement and 500 meters south of Arnoldshain , in the Taunus Nature Park . It separates the valley of the Lauterbach from the valley of the Arnoldshainer Oberdorfbach. Its southern slope is relatively flat, the northern slope relatively steep.

The Krimmelberg belongs to the natural spatial main unit group Taunus (No. 30) and in the main unit Ostlicher Hintertaunus (302) to the subunit Pferdskopf-Taunus (302.6).
