Kristóf Milák (born February 20, 2000 ) is a Hungarian swimmer . His favorite discipline is butterfly , here he has held the world record over 200 meters since July 2019 .

Milák started swimming at the age of six in a club in the city of Érd , and in November 2018 he moved to Honvéd Budapest . He achieved his first international success at the European Youth Championships in July 2016 with a first place in the 200 meter butterfly, from the 2017 competition he brought home three gold and three silver medals, four gold and one bronze in 2018. At the 2017 World Youth Championships , it was also four gold and one bronze medals, and three gold and one silver medals at the 2018 Summer Youth Olympic Games .

Milák's first international appearance in the senior category at the 2017 World Championships ended with a second place over 100 meters butterfly, at the European Championships 2018 it was the gold medal in the same discipline over 200 meters and also at the World Championships 2019 . Particular attention was paid to the fact that he undercut the world record set by the American Michael Phelps in 2009 by 78 hundredths of a second.
