Kristi Anna Isene (born in Norway ) is a Norwegian opera singer ( soprano ).

education

Kristi Anna Isene studied singing at the Grieg Academy in Bergen with Harald Björköy. She then completed the master's degree in opera singing at the Institute for Music Theater (IMT) in Karlsruhe with Maria Venuti on a scholarship from the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) . She took master classes with Berit Nordberg , Susanna Eken and Hilde Zadek and was also supervised by Renata Parussel .

Engagements

At the IMT in Karlsruhe, she worked in opera productions such as Hansel and Gretel , Die Liebe zu den Drei Orangen and L'enfant et les sortilèges . Kristi Anna Isene took part in the production of The Poet's Death at the Ludwigsburg Castle Festival . She has made guest appearances at the Volksschauspiele Ötigheim , the Bad Aibling opera stage , the Pasinger factory in Munich, the Brandenburg Summer Concerts , the Haugesund Theater and the Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe .

As an interpreter of contemporary music , she was chosen for the opera project Donne Romane of the European Culture Days Karlsruhe withsequence III , as Gunda in the opera Kein Ort. Nowhere by Anno Schreier at the Young Opera Company in Freiburg , for the world premieres of Matthias Heeps Momo at the Young Opera of the Stuttgart State Opera , as well as The Story of the Fox Who Lost His Mind by Sandra Weckert at the Stadttheater Ingolstadt .

In the 2014/15 season Kristi Anna Isene made her debut in two key specialist roles: the title role in Dvořák's Rusalka at the Young Opera of the Stuttgart State Opera, as well as Fiordiligi in Mozart's Così fan tutte at the Theater Vorpommern.

Kristi Anna Isene was part of the ensemble of the Vorpommern Theater in the 2015/16 and 2016/17 seasons. Here she was involved as Micaela in Carmen , as the fox in The Cunning Little Fox , as Countess Mariza in Countess Mariza , as Amelia in A Masked Ball , Elisabeth in Tannhäuser and the Singers' War on Wartburg and as Lucy Harris in Jekyll & Hyde . In 2016 and 2017 she made guest appearances together with the ensemble of the Theater Vorpommern, at the Classic Open Air - Gendarmenmarkt Berlin and as Elisabeth in Tannhäuser at the Theater Stettin.

Since the beginning of the season 17/18 Kristi Anna Isene has been a permanent member of the ensemble at the Münster Theater and made her debut there as Elisabetta in Don Carlo . She can also be heard as Harper Pitt in Eötvös' Angels in America , as Noémi in Cendrillon and as Donna Elvira in Don Giovanni .

Kristi Anna Isene also devotes herself intensively to song singing. She was hired by the International Hugo Wolf Academy for a recital in the Liederhalle Stuttgart .
