The Krumme Steyrling ( pronunciation ? / I ) is an eastern tributary of the Steyr in Upper Austria . Audio file / audio sample

It rises in the Sengsengebirge northeast of Windischgarsten in the municipality of Rosenau on the Hengstpass . It flows through a sparsely populated valley in a north-westerly direction to Molln , where it flows into the Steyr from the right.

The river is, among others, Bach and rainbow trout and grayling populated.

The still very natural, romantic water and its ponds are valued by connoisseurs for swimming. In addition, the river is partly used for the water supply of fish farms (kingfisher) because of the very good water quality ( water quality class I-II). In addition, for many decades the energy potential of the river has been used in several stages by nearby companies to generate electricity using Francis turbines ( Piesslinger company ).
