Kruzof Island is an uninhabited, 433.7 km² island in the borough Sitka , located in the Alexander Archipelago in the US state of Alaska . Kruzof Island is named after the Russian explorer Yuri Fjodorowitsch Lisjanski , who discovered it in 1805. The island has a length of 38.6 km and a maximum width of about 14.4 km and is a rather smaller island in the Alexander Archipelago, but is the 41st largest island in the United States . The highest point reached the Mount Edgecumbe with a 975  m in the south of the island.
