Kuiu Island is an island in southeast Alaska ( Panhandle ) of the Alexander Archipelago in the Pacific Ocean . The island is about 1936 km² in size, 105 km long and at its widest point about 37 km wide. The island is separated from Chichagof Island , Baranof Island and Admiralty Island by the Chatham Strait .
At the southern tip of the island is the Cape Decision lighthouse .
The entire island is part of the Tongass National Forest .
