Krywbass ( Ukrainian Кривбас ; Russian Кривбасс Kriwbass ) is a village in the Ukrainian Oblast of Dnipropetrovsk in Kryvyi Rih Raion .
The village is located 30 km west of Rajonshauptstadt Kryvyi Rih and 12 km south of the urban settlement type Chrystoforiwka near the border with Oblast Kirovohrad and to Mykolaiv Oblast on the railway line from Kryvyi Rih to Dolynska under the railway line Pomichna-Kryvyi Rih .
Kryvbas belongs administratively together with the villages Iwaniwka ( Іванівка ) Nowyj Krementschuk ( Новий Кременчук ) Pavlivka ( Павлівка ) Rannij Ranok ( Ранній Ранок ) and Hejkiwka ( Гейківка ) for district community Hejkiwka .
The village is named after the iron ore basin in which it is located, the Krywbass .
