Krzysztof Ptak

Krzysztof Ptak (born April 3, 1954 in Sulejów ; † August 19, 2016 ) was a Polish cameraman .

Ptak finished studying camera at the Łódź Film School in 1980 . He also studied history and philosophy at the University of Łódź . From 1984 he taught at the Copenhagen Film School in Denmark . He was also the director of the UK Film and Television Academy . As a cameraman initially worked for documentary films and shot commercials and video clips. For his work as a cameraman for feature films, he was awarded the Polish Film Prize six times . He was the record holder with the most awards at the Polish Film Awards. Ptak worked with directors such as Andrzej Wajda , Jan Jakub Kolski , Krzysztof Krauze and Piotr Trzaskalski .

He was married to Małgorzata Ptak and the father of three children: Witold, Aneta, Michał.
