The Kuhbach is a less than 2 km long stream in the area of ​​the town of Greding in the Central Franconian district of Roth , which flows into the Schwarzach on the left at the Petermühle .

The Kuhbach originates a quarter kilometers west of Ortsrandes of Röchenhofen in already deepened Talk heritage, flows southwestward the most forest-lined, greatly expanding Kuhbachtal and ends just before Peter mill and about across from Hausen from the left in the lower Schwarzach .

Catchment area

The catchment area is about 3.7 km². Its highest point is on the northern tip near the road from Österberg to Röckenhofen and, in terms of natural space , is predominantly in the sub-area Western Sulzplatte of the northern part of the southern Franconian Alb , with the exception of Untertal. Above the valley section, it comprises predominantly unpopulated and plowed plateau of the Frankenalb, Röckenhofen close to the valley is the only place in it, like the entire area, it is in the urban area of ​​Greding.

The watershed borders everywhere on the catchment area of ​​the Schwarzach or direct tributaries from it. In the northwest, beyond the partial catchment area of ​​its tributary Schmiedackerbach, lies a little further upwards, in the northeast that of the larger Agbach , which flows noticeably further downwards. Behind the south-east, the Hirlbach flows less far down the valley to the common receiving water.
