location

The church village is located on the Schwarzach and in the area of the Altmühltal nature park . In 1961 Hausen had an area of 401.17 hectares. Hausen was a stop on the Roth – Greding railway line . With the construction of the autobahn, it was necessary, after the stop in the direction of Greding, to lead the railway line under the autobahn bridge to the other side of the autobahn and then swivel back in a wide arc onto the original route. During the construction of the hard shoulder, the bridge was widened in 1970 and demolished again in 1972 after the line was abandoned.

The highest point in the area is the Hoher Schlag at 545  m above sea level. NN and the lowest point at the confluence of the Hirlbach in the Schwarzach with 387  m above sea level. NN .

history

At the end of the 8th century, names of places end with the ending "-hausen". It is therefore to be expected that it will develop beforehand. It appears in documents in the 12th century. The seat of the gentlemen at Hausen should have been in the center of the village. In 1250, Count Gebhard von Hirschberg gave the so-called "Grafenhof zu Husen" to the hospital of the Teutonic Order in Ellingen. The connection with the local knights is also documented for later. In 1496 Hans Zenner, a judge in Neustadt, sold the castle to Hans von Schafhausen. The lords of Jahrsdorf were also wealthy in the village.

In 1638 it was found that eight farmsteads had already burned down in the course of the Thirty Years' War . In the course of secularization , the lower bishopric and in it Greding with Hausen came to the Grand Duke Archduke Ferdinand III. from Tuscany and 1806 to Bavaria and therein to the district court of Greding . In 1809, Hausen was combined with Mettendorf and Greding to form a tax district. After two years this was dissolved again.

In 1935 two properties were moved to the other side of the Schwarzach to Petermühle to make room for the new A9.

With the Bavarian district reform , Hausen, from January 1, 1972 a district of the city of Greding, came with this on July 1, 1972 from the dissolved Hilpoltstein district to the newly formed district of Roth.

history

In 1689, by order of the prince-bishop's court architect Jakob Engel, the previous church was rebuilt in baroque style. The upper part of the tower was rebuilt by Engels Palier Johann Baptist Camesino ; the nave of the building was raised. The church was given a white ceiling in the 17th century, and the high altar also dates from this time. The pulpit was made in 1689 by the Gredingen carpenter Matthias Seidl. Two church bells were cast by Ursus Laubscher in Ingolstadt in 1701. Two more were purchased in 2001. The side altars were acquired by Rebdorf Abbey after its secularization . The Ambos company from Berching renovated the interior of the church and two new windows were installed.

A cobblestone in the floor of the church has been preserved from the previous building. This goes to the memory of Magdalena Griebel von Stockau, the daughter of Kaspar Griebel von Stockau. According to the inscription, she died on St. Andrea's Day 1613.
