Buganderl-Keller is an officially named district of the city of Greding . It is located a good five hundred meters south of the historic city center on the opposite side of the Federal Highway 9 . Officially it is a wasteland.
History and naming
Originally, the district was a beer cellar of a brewery on the market square with the house name Buganderl, today's Gasthof Zur Krone . In older maps it is simply called the basement. The brewery house name Buganderl is derived from the name of a former brewer, Andreas Bug. In the period after the Second World War , one of the brothers took over the inn in the city center, while the other brother built his own restaurant in the beer cellar.
The Gredinger whitebeam is also found nearby .
