Ulm University Art Trail
The Art trail Ulm University is a sculpture on the campus of the University of Ulm .
Emergence
In 1967 the University of Ulm was founded as the "Medical and Natural Science University of Ulm". Your interiors were given artistic designs in accordance with the art in building guidelines. In accordance with the ideas about art in public space , the majority of the works on the art trail were installed outdoors from 1989 onwards .
The initiators were the pro arte ulmer art foundation , Caius Burri (at the time full professor and medical director of the clinic for accident , hand , plastic and reconstructive surgery at the Ulm University Hospital ), the city of Ulm and the state of Baden-Württemberg . You were also responsible for the Sculpture Ulm 1989 and Sculpture Ulm 1990 , whose works were purchased and partially displayed here.
Today the sculpture trail includes works by internationally renowned artists . Some sculptures deliberately originate from sculptors who were among the younger artists in the early 1980s , mainly from Baden-Württemberg and Bavaria .
