Kuptschynzi (Ukrainian Купчинці ; Russian Купчинцы / Kuptschinzy ; Polish Kupczyńce ) is a village in the Ukrainian Ternopil Oblast with about 1200 inhabitants.
The village is located in the east of Kosowa district on the banks of the Strypa , 15 kilometers east of the Kosowa district center and about 21 kilometers southwest of the oblast capital Ternopil .
On July 27, 2018, the village became the center of the newly founded rural community Kuptschynzi (Купчинецька сільська громада / Kuptschynezka silska hromada ). At that include also the seven villages Drahomaniwka (Драгоманівка) Denyssiw (Денисів) Dworyschtsche (Дворище) Ischkiw (Ішків) Jastrubowe (Яструбове) Rossochuwatez (Росохуватець) and Wesniwka (Веснівка), previously made it to the village Drahomaniwka the district council of the same name.
history
The place was mentioned in writing for the first time in 1312 and was initially in the Ruthenian Voivodeship as part of the aristocratic republic of Poland . From 1772 to November 1918 he belonged under his Polish name Kupeczince , later Kupczyńce to Austrian Galicia , here it was from 1867 in the political district of Tarnopol .
After the end of the First World War, the place became part of Poland (in the Voivodeship Tarnopol , Powiat Tarnopol , Gmina Jastrzębowo ), was occupied by the Soviet Union from September 1939 and then by Germany from summer 1941 to 1944 , here the place was in incorporated the district of Galicia .
After the end of the war the place was added to the Soviet Union , there the village came to the Ukrainian SSR and has been part of today's Ukraine since 1991.
