Kurt Davis (born August 13, 1986 in Plymouth , Minnesota ) is an American ice hockey player who has been under contract with EHC Bayreuth in the DEL2 since February 2020 .

Career

Davis began his career in the 2005/06 season with the Green Bay Gamblers in the American Junior League United States Hockey League , where he played a total of two seasons. Between 2007 and 2011 he was on the ice for the university team at Minnesota State University, Mankato in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association , which is part of the NCAA's gaming operations . In the summer of 2011 Davis moved to Europe and joined the Swedish club Södertälje SK from the second-rate HockeyAllsvenskan , where he spent the 2011/12 season.

For the 2012/13 season Davis moved to Norway to the Stavanger Oilers , where he established himself as a dangerous defensive player and immediately won the championship in the GET league . Also in the following year, with 18 goals and 35 assists, he played a significant role in defending his team's title as the strongest defender in the league. In April 2014, the American signed a contract with the Düsseldorfer EG , for which he played in the German Ice Hockey League from the 2014/15 season.

After three years at DEG, Davis switched to the Krefeld Penguins in June 2017 .

In July 2018, Davis left the penguins and moved to Austria for the Vienna Capitals . In November the contract with the Caps was terminated .

In January 2019, the Norwegian club Storhamar Hockey signed him.

In February 2020 he moved to EHC Bayreuth in the DEL2 .
