Kurt Ways (politician, 1881)

Kurt Ewaldwege (born April 5, 1881 in Kaczyna , Posen-Ost district ; † October 20, 1940 on the Follstein estate , Pomerania province ) was a German farmer , landowner and politician ( DNVP ).

Life and work

After attending the Royal High School in Gnesen up to Obersekunda , Weg worked as an agricultural official from 1897 to 1908. In September 1908 he went into business for himself and bought a 400-acre farm in Follstein - Ludwigsdorf near Deutsch-Filehne , which he managed in the following years. He did active military service with the Field Artillery Regiment 56 in Lissa and was a participant in the campaign against the " Hottentots " in German South West Africa . From 1914 to 1918 he was a soldier in the Field Artillery Regiment 53 and in the Field Artillery Regiment 500First World War.

politics

Since May 1919, he was the first chairman of the Landbund in the Netzekreis and at the same time the first Chairman of the Landbund in the border region of Posen-West Prussia . He joined the German National People's Party (DNVP) and had been a district member of the Netzekreis since 1919, as well as a member of the provincial parliament of the Posen-West Prussia border region . In the Reichstag election in May 1924 , he was elected to the German Reichstag , to which he was a member until November 1933. In parliament he represented constituency 5 (Frankfurt a. D. O.).
